dtothet
Its a very obvious and logical money-maker, but I really hope this doesn't eliminate the credibility Rourke (and by proxy, the gym hall wrestlers) has/have gained from the film. To me, he loses credibility because I have a negative view of wrestling. Out of the majority of cinema-goers I imagine the majority also have a negative view of wrestling (not to say myself or they are correct in their views, just personal opinion). *But*, we might read that he's going to do the fight in the news or whatever, but we aren't going to go out of our way to watch it just so we can criticise it and complain about Mickey losing his credibility. In fact, the news release that he's going to do it will probably be the last I hear of it. So, when wrestling fans watch it and think its awesome and Rourke is actually pretty good and it's impressive the dedication he put into doing it, it will probably prove to be a smart move, as more people will be impressed than disappointed in him.
