trowie246
Yes Evil Inky, you are right, (see, I knew I would fall off my high horse - ouch!" I said something which amounts to no more than a knee jerk reaction. And there also have been comments that perhaps this can be seen as being good for children. My children quite often watch "Who Rules The Roost?" with me and they are horrified at some of the childrens behaviour. However, the difference is those children are with their parents at all times. I think if some of the children can't even work an electric kettle they are obviously going to struggle. Do they have to learn the hard way? Roachmill
I'm not defending this woman in any way, but what do you mean when you say "shouldn't be allowed to be a mother" ? That her children should be taken into care ? Or that she should be sterilised ?Both? You'd pick a fight with your own shadow sometimes Inky

brawkirky
Actually just thought of another point! Both of my kids can boil a kettle and can even make simple meals as we have a night each wk where they have to cook (with me over seeing!) If all they know is how to make a pot noodle then who is really to blame me thinks the parents! Cause to be honest a child only knows what they are taught and shown so maybe this programme is going to show the parents where they are going wrong!!!!!!!!!!! (doubt it though will probably just create mixed up kids who in years to come will use the programme to sue their parents

Kephas4
And so the bandwagon trundles on. It's the whole Spycatcher/Satanic Verses/Celebrity Big Brother thing again, really. Rather than being another forgettable slot filler to fill the gap between the news and the soft core porn, this admittedly feeble excuse for entertainment has become a national conversation piece. The morally outraged raise a hue and cry in order to demonstrate just how outraged they are, with the result that droves that never would have considered watching this trash flock to their screens so they can tell their pals how righteous their own indignation was. trowie246
I saw this programme the first time around a few years ago. I can't remember there being any kind of outcry then.

Are you a Timelord? Theres no 'R' indicating a repeat in the Radio Times or in the Sky EPG.
trowie246
No, it wasn't exactly the same. I just checked the internet. In 2002 channel 4 showed a series called " Boys Alone" which is the one I remember seeing. Ten 11yr old boys were left in a house to do as they pleased. The following year they did the same using girls.
