MJ
Had some really nasty Weegie woman on Wednesday who told me it was my phone at fault and as I lived in Shetland I shouldn't expect network coverage. Spoke to nice lady today who took a fiver off my bill for the inconvenience, sure enough it was scheduled maintenance work. Wednesday's operator couldn't even be bothered to check if there was a reason for the problem.

JordanKZ
Well, I think I found why the signal has been going up and down like nuts recently. I glanced over at my phone earlier and apparently... We now have 3G! HSPDA (3.5g) when web browsing also! Great news!

Fifi
^^ Yes, interested to hear more as I thought we weren't going to be able to get 3G here.
JordanKZ
According to the o2 HSPDA maps: http://www.webmap.o2.co.uk/?Search=Search After searching HSPDA o2 maps on "Lerwick". It seems only the surrounding area of Lerwick can get 3G. To be honest, this is a big step from what we've had previously.
MJ
the "routine maintenance" was to put in a new 3G cell for all those i-phone customers out there. They just never bothered telling anyone. Now all you vodafone customers need to point out that if O2 can do it...
