JordanKZ
Using an N95 here... No need for the all mighty JesusPhone, thanks.
Roachmill
Well if O2 can do it... where the flamin jeebus is Vodafone?! Will that do MJ? Maybe not. Let me just vent a little since you mentioned iphones too... At least now iphone owners will actually have something worth boasting [read] about. They're all set for a major point release to their beloved operating system in just a few hours. Maybe now, after 3 versions, the dumbest smartphone out there will finally get copy 'n' paste and, heaven forbid, multi-tasking. Welcome to this century iphone /end rant. Any O2 3G using folk care to comment on actual real world speeds? My Voda contract is up at the end of March so O2's looking mighty tempting enoo! MJ
the speed is good. Faultless video streaming. Just as good as where I was before I moved up.

Fifi
^^ Doesn't look like it, according to Vodafone's coverage map..
Roachmill
^^ ^^You sure it's 3G Para Handy and no just a little old G on its lonesome? The later indicates GPRS... i.e. dial-up speeds of yore. Fifi's right about their coverage maps. They don't even show 3G as being planned anywhere in the future either the speed is good. Faultless video streaming. Just as good as where I was before I moved up.Thanks MJ. That's good to hear
JordanKZ
I managed to get iPlayer running on my N95 late last night. I'd have to say, no issues at all streaming. I think half the issue with my phone is the awful rendering speeds... God damn lack of RAM.

That's good to hear All I can say Roachmill is, that I’m getting a symbol on my phone In Lerwick that I don’t get any where else. Not that it maters to me personally, as I only use my phone to talk with. I have never sent a text or used the Internet side of the phone (unless you count connecting my laptop to it and using it as a modem when down south ) (Maybe 3G downloads faster to the phone when in use as a Modem?) from the day I first got one I don’t send pics ether. Why would any one want to pay the kind of money that mobile services cost to watch TV it would be like trying to watch snooker through the bottom of a Pint glass with Ice cubes in it, why not just give them access to your bank and let them draw out all the money when they fell like it. I haven’t had a TV switched on in the house for over 7 Years, I do some times watch the occasional thing on Iplayer ect. But only because I have a broadband connection and it is well within my download limits. And what other use has 3G got if you don’t watch TV on the move, unless a company use it for doing some sort of business applications ect As I said the symbol disappears when you get out side Lerwick But for some maybe the cost is not important
Roachmill
^Ta for checking. 3G has plenty uses besides squinting at TV: video calling (only ever of use for grandparents to talk to their grandchildren), web browsing at non mind-numbing speeds, internet radio, youtube and even Facebook (if you roll that way) to name a few. Para Handy
I sent a E-mail about 3G to Vodafone see what they say if they even bother to reply that is. There quick enough to take the money of you. But further study of my phone it shows that I can select networks manually and it say the symbol I am getting in Lerwick and firth today is for a 3G network so it looks as if they cant be bothered to update there map coverage
