kirsty
That can't be true! If Jaime Wilson signs for Celtic they will be unstoppabble next year. They seemed a bit light in the striking department last season, with only really Aitken and Web getting goals so if they signed the best striker in the league they would win everything. Jamie's good, but nowhere near the best. Even though he wasn't at his best last season Ross McDougal is still tops. Celtic came close in the league last season , but they don't have the top class county players that Spurs or Whalsay have I'm afraid - Whalsay again if pushed. kirsty
Biglad - I'm not the only one who thinks this. I do not have anything against the guy, nor do I know him personally, but if Niall Bristow thought he was the best or one of them he would have been in last years county team/squad. Interestingly, non of the previous manager selected him either. That is not to say he can change their minds by proving people like me wrong. I hope he does - the more top class striker at our disposal the better.
Biglad
You miss understood the question Kirsty! Who are the top class county players that Spurs have?
marcus1983
So Wilson for the county is the next point. Get him in to provide the goals and prove he is the best by a rather large margin
delboy10
top class county players spurs have are james johnston and sam ward when fit! if gresham could finish he would get in too but only thing he lacks is finishing!

Duncan-f
Having watched plenty of shetland football since I moved here 4 years ago, I would have to say the best current strikers are Stuart Shearer and Jaime Wilson. It is rather strange how neither were in the county team that struggled to create anything against Orkney. Wilson would be classed top purely on his goalscoring over the past 4 years? I didn't see much of him this year but he always seems to be a real handful for defenders.
Dr. Nick
Can't see Webb leaving. Also rumours are flying about that Ness United are downsizing to just one team; Any truth Penfold? Managers seem to be in sort supply with Ness, Whitedale and Scalloway not having a manager. David Thomson joining his brother at Whalsay is another doing the rounds. penfold
No, Ness are again fielding three teams across the two senior associations and have managers for all three. Not sure as to the other two teams you mention though. Scalloway have not had a rep at the last few association meetings. Martin Gibbs is involved in taking the Whitedale training I understand but not sure if he is taking their A team this season.

Is that not the point of a striker?? Anyway James Johnston is the obvious stand out there. Sam Ward is a good player but seems to be quite injury prone which has held him back quite a bit over the last 2 seasons. I make that 1 quality county player in the Spurs squad, wheres Kirsty with the rest?

Celtic had 5(five) who made the squad... So a bit of an unsupported statement to make.
Tractor
The county team doesn't represent the best team in Shetland even though it should. Whalsay had one player in it last year and have one the league the last 3 seasons. How does that work?
