Dieting/Losing weight

In the past 10 months I have lost weight.

I was 133 Kg

 

That equates to...

 

133 kg = 293.214 lb

OR 293 lb and 3.43 oz

20.9 stone

 

I now weigh 110Kg

110 kg = 242.508 lb

OR 242 lb and 8.13 oz

17.3 stone

 

A loss of...

23 kg = 50.7063 lb

OR 50 lb and 11.30 oz

3.6 stone

 

Chuffed ? Too bloody right I am :D

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

 

4 tablespoons flour

4 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons oil

3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)

a small splash of vanilla extract

1 large coffee mug

 

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts

 

(high).

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

 

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

 

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

 

Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

 

 

And this is how you will put it all back on againg :lol: :lol:

How did I do it ? Hmmmmm :wink:

 

 

Ok Ok I'll tell ya.

 

 

Grill instead of frying.

 

Poach eggs instead of frying.

 

Steam vegetables instead of stir frying

 

Leave Coca Cola / Lemonade / Irn Bru etc in the shops

 

I have fish n chips twice a month, I don't weigh any portions and as for calorie counting..... DON'T DO IT ! :lol:

A yes well done getting smaller Malcolm but? what about the Mug cake. Are you muffing something else instead now. I lost about 7 stone back in the 90s but even though I was not looking for it they found me and reattached them selves.

Well done! I am overweight and am trying to diet but it's no easy :cry:

 

It’s even harder to keep the weight of once you have got it off :(

The mug cake is nice, but better shared (less intake of fats etc per person).

 

The real trick to dieting is eating what you want when you want but eating sensibly. ie as I said before cut chips to once a week, poach egggs instead of frying, grill bacon etc instead of frying.

 

Don't snack and drink well chilled water instead of sugared drinks.

 

Sensible eating and exercise is the key.

Woohooo congrats Malcolm!

 

My three little tips:

 

Use Natural Yoghurt instead of mayonnaise for things

 

If you feel hungry drink water first as chances are you are thirsty not hungry

 

If you want chocolate have a mug of low cal drinking chocolate first.

 

I've started losing weight but my problem is being able to exercise without making things worse for myself.

 

I've found that since moving back home I'm doing a lot more and able to get out and about in the wheelchair (which is great exercise in itself!). OH thinks he should be push me about but when I'm able I prefer using my own steam.

I just finished a controlled diet with www.golower.co.uk

 

I dont have scales so have no idea how much weight i lost, but after a month i lost 2" from hips, waist, bust. and 1.5" from thighs.

 

So its a trip to the shops from some smaller clothes for me :)

 

HINTS

Cut out Rice, pasta, tatties, bread, sugar, flour, milk, caffine.

Stick to Green Vegetables and green salads as alternative to above.

High protein. ( Eggs, meat, Fish )

Drink plenty of Water, ( Volvic , no sugar flavoured water is fine)

 

Weight will fall off.
