Are the puffins at Sumburgh Head easy to spot and fairly close?

I've got friends coming up mid-June, one of whom is not very good on her legs and can only manage to walk short distances from the car - she's never seen a puffin so I'd like to find her a spot where she can view them without off-roading or using radio telescopes!

Any other suitable viewing point suggestions would be welcome, too.

^ Sumburgh Head is ideal for seeing puffins, just go to the overspill car park ( where the white vehicle is on the grass ) then just cross the road and look over the cliff face. It would be inadvisable to attempt the steep road up to the top and also unnecessary. Major works on the site are due to start anytime shortly so access will be restricted at the top. The main road from Grutness to the Head is currently being upgraded but coming near completion now. :-

ps. nae windmills !
