ArabiaTerra
^^ Read between the lines? What am i supposed to be reading? You're supposed to read that: "The swine flu epidemic is being used as an excuse to put the army on the streets, impose travel restrictions, crack down on dissent and IMPOSE_THE_NEW_WORLD_ORDER!!!", in other words, the same old conspiracy rubbish Koy is always spouting. Does anyone else think Egypt is being a bit hasty in killing all their pigs? The Egyptian government is taking this opportunity to destroy the livelihoods of the Coptic Christians (the majority of pig farmers in Egypt), presumably because they aren't good muslims. (Hang on, that's starting to sound like a conspiracy theory, OMG, I've got Koy flu, where's the tamiflu )
Michael
I thought that was a bit tenuous even for the most hardened conspiracy theorist, so I was confused. Need to get a better imagination I think Still, even if they don't like those christians, surely it's a hefty blow to their economy to kill 300000-400000 pigs just like that? paulb
there fed on waste. So they claim that they are reorganising the pig industry. Yes im sure it is a factor that its run by a small group of people. But we have banned the same practice for a long time.
KOYAANISQATSI
shouldn't you be hiding in a bath of Tamiflu by now AT watching CNN and batting your eyelids at Obama for promising to save you; which he will of course, thanks to being allowed to restrict any freedom he pleases and rest assured there will be many more measures layed down to prepare us for the next lock down. And your clue is... Your governments are empire building, mass murdering, liars who are not going to think twice about using a virus to test out the latest means of penning in sheep like you AT http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6876/residentsmall.jpg
Michael
Koy - do you actually think like that?
KOYAANISQATSI
NO of course not , I'm just having a laugh. I know just like you do that governments and the real power behind them, never kill lots of people, never tell lies and have no interest in joining up into a global government and putting itself outside any possible challenge to its power. ArabiaTerra
Here's one for you Koy:As a result of all the fear built up around the avian flu a few years ago, stock prices for Roche and Gilead Sciences, the pharmaceutical company which developed Tamiflu, soared when the drug was recommended by the government as the best treatment. And few know that Donald Rumsfeld was chairman of the board of directors of Gilead from 1997 until 2001, when he was appointed U.S. Secretary of Defense. And the whole article:http://www.examiner.com/x-6495-National-Intelligence-Examiner~y2009m5d1-Swine-Flu-Virus-CDC-Recommendations-Questioned Feed the fear! paulb
Or it could just be the planet trying to get rid of a parasite life form. There are bigger things than people on this planet. Koy you have stated that were going to get wasted by Stella events in the past threads. But we don't need to travel far to see that species have a set time. they then become extinct. How can we think that were any different give it a few million years and some cockroach will be the top creature. The more of us there are the quicker it will happen. Don't you find it odd that were a week into a new bug and all the commentators are talking it down. Strange that they don't want us worried. I am not sure that the numbers coming out are accurate either. But i had better get my tin foil hat back on. A strange but planned event at the gilbert bain this week the A&E staff had to do there decontamination practice. Did anyone notice inflatables with people walking about in space suits. Now would you have chosen to do that over the last week. Also notice how china controls at risk vectors compared to us. they know how fast these bugs spread so they actively contain and hunt down the at risk people. We give them a note saying if you get the flu to give us a call. WHO would you want looking after your health.
Ghostrider
It of course would have nothing to do with the relentless exodus of Hispanics northwards in to the States, which is generally resented by Joe Public, but never really done much of anything about, as employers find them to be an ideal source of cheap labour, at least thus far. Quietly labelling them and where they come from the origin and source of a silent "killer" is about the most effective way of making the reception given them much less welcoming. After all, over there is in deep recession, hundreds are chasing every vacancy. Hispanics aren't really needed to fill the low paid menial jobs any more as they were in more affluent times, too many of the home grown are more than keen for them themselves. As far as timing goes, an increase in prejudice against Hispanics can only be good for taking some heat of the little black boy in the big house from the Millions in the dole queues. I find it ironic that the supposed ever watching, hyperbole abusing, fear mongering governments are complained about by hyperbole abusing fear mongering conspiracy theorists So what you tryin to say Mike, is that though it's true, to you, that they always do these things, it is more proper if you think it will back your play in a debate to scoff and scream conspiracy theorist (whatever that is in your wikipediak mind) at those who say it is so. An appeal to ridicule is already a logical fallacy and teaming it up with a hyperbolick contradiction in terms does not turn your double negative into a plus; it just makes you twice as wrong. KOYAANISQATSI
I dont read elipses. Sorry I didn't realise you really believed that governments never kill lots of people and never tell lies. I don't think I can find any place to start with you on such a statement but well done in only seeing the best in folk I suppose. ___________ Really though, do you
