I dont read elipses.

Sorry I didn't realise you really believed that governments never kill lots of people and never tell lies.

:? Really though, do you :?:

I agree that they do, but text size is the real issue. It is kind of like writing in capitals except in reverse. IF THE TEXT IS TWICE AS BIG< IS IT TWICE AS WRONG ?

I think you misinterpreted me again. I don't think governments never tell lies or commit dodgy acts, but that doesn't mean they always do.

But then maybe I have been brainwashed :P:

Anyway, back to swine flu - looks to me the media is finally catching up with scientists have generally been saying about the flu, that's it's pretty mild. Here's hoping it doesn't mutate to a more deadly version, as far as i'm aware that's the real risk.

sorry if I did. I was just arsing around with cut and paste, trying to make it look as if you and KOYAANISQATSI said the opposite of what you did.

That will teach me to play around with the font sizes, I guess

Actually that was directed at KOYAANISQATSI

If I wasn't so tired i'd be laughing at the collective irony and misunderstanding of this page of the thread :D

Governments lie.

They will use flu media hysteria to bury bad news.

If you were a Line Manager and one of your members of staff telephoned in to say that they had swine fever, how would know if they were telling porkies?

Well, they wouldn't have swine fever if there was no crackling on the line ...

(Blame me hubby for that joke).

My last boss was such a swine in the first place no one would have noticed pig fly if it had been stamped on his forehead

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the U.S. government has awarded $660 million US in contracts to three pharmaceutical giants to make swine-flu vaccines.

The companies — GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi Pasteur, and Novartis — are to receive seed virus from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with the aim of starting commercial production in June.
