Stoichkov
I have to say i'm a big fan of all the eateries in Shetland except the Harbour Cafe but i'll let them off!Stand outs for me are the Sarmile for curries, Golden Coach is my fav chinese and Da Haaf is the best for fish, although the Fort is my fav chippie. The best meal i ever had though was a (small) wedding at the Lerwick Hotel, the food wis off the charts!I also like the new kebab place but the Naan's aren't too strong as mine keep falling apart too easily but apart from that very good.If i would like any other kind o restaurant it would probably b a Mexican.P.S Whoever wrote earlier in the thread that Cafe India was the best restaurant in Glasgow wis spot on, best curries ever! Mcdilly-Willy
Best dining out experience has to be at: "The banks between Bigton and Ireland" near the south end (turn right at channerwick then continue for ages). The spacious pebble floored eatery offers rustic dishes from the a la carte menus that are complimented by the traditional Shetland views. A great atmosphere and you can arrange to take your own food and drink. I recommend "Docken surprise"!

I always slip a sausage in my pocket before leaing home for The Booth. Veggy food always tastes fine with a couple of sausages on the side. clanchief
I am surprised that there has been no comment here yet on the new eatery at the museum. I heard that it was packed out all weekend, I also heard the service was a bit disorganised - but no comments on the quality of food , value for money etc.
Twerto
Ive heard a few stories already about the cafe/restaurant at the museum. most say much the same as clanchief, I think tho those sort of things are to be expected for the first few days unless you have managed to hire in well trained waiters and waitresses. So far the food I have personally experienced is top notch tho
