BigMouth
Disappointing range of local cakes yesterday in Don Leslie’s. Everything but cinnamon buns was dipped in faux chocolate.

Frances144
Really looking forward to Bengal Spice Takeaway coming to our local hall. I have tried to contact The Hai Yang Chinese takeaway, Scalloway about coming to our hall but no reply to my FB message. Anyone know anything? It's been a while. We miss them. Davie P
Any reviews/recommendations for coffee and light bites in Lerwick? I've completely lost track of the cafe situation in town
BigMouth
There's a place on Harrison Sq that is worth a visit. Coffee Culture? Great coffee and the chicken quiche I had was really good. Davie P

Davie P
2 of us had a very pleasant coffee and a snack in Coffee Culture at Harrison Square (next to Lerwick DIY) the other day. Friendly service, good coffee and a straightforward menu.
BigMouth
I won't mention the place, as I don't want to embarrass them. The other half and I went out for lunch, which was superb, followed by two coffees. We asked for flat whites. What we were served were white americanos. We drank them nonetheless, but pointed out the error to them at the end. They were convinced that a flat white was made with water with a splash of milk, but we know otherwise so we told them that it should be made with a vast majority of hot milk and the only water should be in the one or two shots of coffee. They wouldn't accept it. We spoke to a cafe proprietor today who told us that we were right, flat white is mostly hot milk.
