...does there exist the facility to place a user onto an 'ignore' list so that their posts aren't displayed?

Were such a facility available I would not use it, but I would use an "Ignore thread" option, so long as it only applied to the "Latest Forum Posts" section. Removing the "buy/sell" posts was a big improvement. It would be nice to be able to similarly avoid seeing post listings to high traffic threads which I never read.

I would like a 'Ignore posters who post just for the sake of posting' button. It seems some members just write repetative "I agree" or "That sounds like a plan" which doesn't add any value to the threads. It gets tedious when reading threads of interest.

But MiM has a point. There's a lot of the threads on here that tend to have regular heated discussion, and while a good few of us are up for that, a good few of us are not.
