MJ
somebody said he'd been trying to take credit card details.I would hope that no one would be daft enough. The guy may be honest, but do folk honestly hand out their details to any stranger who comes round the doors. Gaboh
The guy taking the aerial pictures came to my house and sold me a picture, the quality of the photo is brilliant and compared to some of the others that have been around trying to sell these he was relatively cheap!! He never asked me for any card details or any of my neighbours along the road that bought pictures too. He came across as nice and was very pleasant. daveh
I was impessed by the aerial phot bu something like £58 for it was far, far too much for an unsolicited item. He didn't want to reduce the price so will undoubtedly throw the photo away. Bit wasteful, really.
Gaboh
We paid £45 I think. And he framed it for us also, nt a bad frame either. I was really impressed with the picture and don't have one already but personally I thought it was a good deal!!

Sudden Stop
The picture of my house wasn't very good quality. It looked like it was a cropped part of a bigger picture than had been scaled up and then photoshopped to increase sharpness and saturation. Not great really. Pooks
Pictures of nearly every street in the country, from the Shetlands to Penzance, are to be made available via Google. From Thursday, the search giant’s Streetview technology will feature 360-degree images of more than 99 per cent of the United Kingdom’s roads, both rural and urban, covering a total of approximately 238,000 miles. Get ready to spot yourselves!

Mogman
Out of interest, several current (Earth-based) astronomical telescopes use digtal cameras which record over 1,000 megapixels per image, and new cameras are being developed which record 3,200 megapixels per image. The generation after that are looking at 100 to 10,000 times that image size, but digital techniques are now pushing the physical lenses' and mirrors' abilities to provide accurate enough images. Two of the major obstacles to the image sizes growing ultra large are the speed of data transfer, and storage of such huge files.
Siffy
LOL Looks like a scene from 28 days later in Lerwick. Where are all the people.
Roachmill
Well Lerwick's a ghost town. From the time on the town hall clock (06:40) it's no wonder. Great to see we're up at last though Found me now defunct car, bless her
