MJ
Can smacking your children possibly make them brainier? According to research from Marjorie Gunnoe, professor of psychology at Calvin College in the US State of Michigan, children smacked before the age of six perform better at school when they are teenagers. They are also more likely to do voluntary work and to want to go to university than their peers. Forget moving to that must-have catchment area, all the little blighters need, apparently, is a skelp around the legs. sorry I'm confused too, that I though was on another machine... MuckleJoannie
^^^My brothers used to live in Moosonee at the southern tip of Hudsons Bay in Canada. The sea there freezes over in winter, enabling people to drive over the ice to the island of Moose Factory. THis practice stops in the spring when the first car falls through the ice. TeeAyBee
^^^ If convicted, Sato faces up to 17 years in prison or a fine of up to £13,500. Something doesn't quite balance out there. 17 years *or* £13,500? I understand the potential prison sentence, but the alternative fine is somewhat inexplicable. Maybe the news article missed a zero.
