Wasn't sure I read this right at first but sure enough...

Woman getting married to fairground ride

Stranger still, she's not alone...

Mrs Eiffel Tower

The OS term was first coined by Eija-Riitta Berliner-Mauer, a 54-year-old woman who has been "married" to the Berlin Wall for 29 years.

Oh my word!!! There are some SERIOUSLY strange folk on this planet!!

Lad passes gruelling 'getting on bus' test

A Bury lad waiting for his GCSE results was somewhat surprised to learn he'd passed exam board AQA's stringent 'Using Public Transport (Unit 1)' test, which honours those able to "walk to the local bus stop, stand or sit at a bus stop, wait for the arrival of a public bus and sit on the bus and observe through the windows".

Puts Michael to shame

I tend to pretty much ignore all "light hearted" science news, 90% of it is usually misconstrued, twisted for popular appeal or just plain wrong.

Not commenting on that specific article though, just in general with these "wacky" science stories.
