Roachmill
News just in from the "People Were Actually Paid To Do This? WTF!" department - Custard Creams can kill: Official A disturbing probe into the potential for apparently innocent biscuits' ability to do harm has revealed that an astounding 25 million Brits have been injured while indulging in some light coffee/tea break snack action, with 500 victims requiring hospital treatment. More worrying is they've an actual stat for the percentage of people who've poked themselevs in the eye with a biscuit . How do you do that? How?!! The long and short of things is that custard creams are killers in disguise and jaffa cakes are the choice of death fearing wussies.

Kephas4
Aaaargh! A good example of everything wrong in journalism: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edinburgh_and_east/8250739.stm A hysterical headline declares this poor guy is the 8th to die 'from' Swine Flu. Obviously this grabs the reader and sticks in the mind far longer than the paltry little subtitle saying he's the first to die 'of' Swine Flu without an underlying medical condition. For that matter, how many people does the bog standard seasonal flu carry off every year without the accompanying media circus? Rant over. For now.
