 Can't count, make that three

One of my university-educated sons swears blind that 'a couple' means 'a few'.. :?:

Maybe it's a modern thing.. > I remember on a few occasions at the Safe-Morri-Field deli counter asking for 'a couple of those' only to be then asked by the young person on the other side, 'yes, how many would you like? '

Well Fifi, I thought about posting a dozen photos. But then I realised that in these days of decimal counting, and well educated students, a 'dozen' doesn't mean much.

And after the "Yowe on da banks" picture,,,,, My pictues just couln't compete. :D

Perhaps the picture I like the best, for so many reasons, is this one.

I don't know how to post a picture like this here, so here's the link:

http://shetlopedia.com/Image:Dunrossness_Pano_2.JPG

It's a stitched together panorama of 6 images from Fitful Head, showing the whole of Dunrossness.

You'll have to click on the image, then zoom, to get the best of it.

 I'm a baker's daughter and could confuse things further by talking about a baker's dozen! ;) Jings, they have it easy nowadays - we had pounds and ounces; inches, feet and yards; pints and quarts; furlongs, chains, you name it. Never mind pounds, shillings and pence. Arithmetic were a lot 'arder in those days.. ;)
