I'm sure it's a weighty job and not one I'd like to do, but is it a proportionate increase? Anybody out there?! I've done some research (ie a quick google) and I would say it is an unremarkable salary for the responsibilities of the job. And being in the public sector there are none of the perks that a private sector organisation would offer, such as profit sharing and share options. However, the Chief Exec deserves to be paid the going rate for the job. Wouldn't it be great if the extra cash could be spread down the whole workforce though.
