Well he's been and gone and what a fantastic gig.

 

Even as a lifelong fan I am still taken with his musicianship, but what set it apart last night was his clear enthusiam for the being here.

 

Roll on his return with the Dukes in tow :)

 

Duncan Phillips was an excellent choice of support, and the timing of his spot was just right, so many support acts go on too long these days. And mention also needs to be made of the general organisation of the event, having the bar close before the main event was a brilliant idea and one I hope will be carried forward for future seated gigs like this.

As a musician he has not copied anyone else. He has his own country style and is instantly recognisable when you hear him on the radio
