Ghostrider
Cheer up, smile, it doesn't hurt - trust me, I've grinned from time to time. I don't do "cheerful", its incompatible with my sense of humour.
CrunchieSquirrel
Two questions: 1. If anyone has been or has access to Bing maps, this 'streetview' doesn't seem to work although it is part of the website itself. Is there a location it can work? 2. As speedometers have speeds up to 140mph, why does the law tell you not to go at that speed although its limit is up to 70mph - on motorway. Because the vehicles are not sold in just the UK - speed limits vary across Europe and the world.

Its Google that has that. Do you mean the '3D' option for Bing Maps? If so, I'm given to understand that you have to do a download of the gubbins from Bing to get it to work. Russabell
What I'd like to know (not that I really care!) is when did models become 'supermodels'?
filskadacat
What I'd like to know (not that I really care!) is when did models become 'supermodels'?About the time that Linda Evangelista announced 'I don't get out of bed for less than $10,000.'(I may have both the name and the amount wrong - haven't time to check - but the principle stands!) khitajrah
Does anyone have a barometer who would like to give me the reading anytime between now and mid-afternoon? Thank you kindly!
JustMe
Met office shows 1004 for Lerwick at 10am. This pretty much ties in with the airports with 1005 for Sumburgh and 1004 for Scatsta. 1005 translates to 29.68 if you use that system and my barometer shows that as well. CrunchieSquirrel
My own brain teaser: Say you went to the shops and you go down an aisle where the baking crap is at, you come across to a packet of 'sugarless sugar', what do you think it may look like - no sugar or will there be sugar? Pooks
Pigs may fly. Been a lot of it out here this Winter (NZ). Good few came down with it in my office and a couple of people in the area have died from it. Still not the pandemic they claimed it was going to be though. shetlandpeat
I have been searching through the dictionary, looking for odd words and have noticed that gullible is not listed. I checked another, older dictionary to see if it was a word that has phased out and not found it there either.Does anyone have a dictionary with it in.
