Finally common sense prevailed. While i may have raised the original post from something i saw on TV, i dont pretend to make informed judgements on the future from what i see on TV . For that i think having a look/taste/feel of things first hand and perhaps immersing yourself completely in the subject one wishes to understand (in my case living in a muslim country) can give far more insight into what may happen in the future. And yes, while it may be hard for the all knowlegeble Gibber to fathom that someone can actually live in one country, work in another, and visit yet others.....i assure you this happens on a not so infrequent basis depending on your line of work. It can sometimes be hard to fathom the lives that some people lead without questioning or disbelieving, i take this as a compliment. Whos the guy im supposed to be? paulb Posted September 26, 2009 Report Share Posted September 26, 2009 but the vast majority of those who want to come to this country have no desire to blow us up. they want to work and live a better life. they are only trying to do what we did during the last two centuries moving to were they believe they will have a better life. most of the bombers have been British born. this shows a number of things there clearly is a division between the ethnic community and the local community. the most dangerous thing that we can do is class all non white immigrants as threats even the ones who are here illegally just want a quite time. the sister lives in London and there major problem is with whites from the former eastern block countries. did non of you see the conviction of the neo nazi for carrying explosives. the anti terrorist people expect the next trouble from them. Styles Posted September 26, 2009 Report Share Posted September 26, 2009 Unfortunatly the Eastern block country people in the EU can come here freely as economic migrants, but atleast we are ment to have some control on stopping those from out with the EU as its obviouse to anyone thats what these people are, they addmitted as much if you saw them interviewed on tv. It seems the muslim ("moderate") majority there are having a bit of a spring clean. I know its a bit off track to the origianl post, but the point being one needs to be ready to give up life as he/she knows it once you allow a completely different culture to gain the majority of votes in your domicile. Could the fact that they are only in France to make illegal entry into Britain have something to do with it?. I do feel sorry for the normal citizens of Calais and district who are living with a problem that is not of their making. Surely the simple answer is for people who make it into Europe either as refugees or economic migrants to be required to go to EU run centres where they can apply to gain entry to the country of their choice.
