Were lucky that our parliamentary democracy was strong enough to reject mossley and his chums. Are we still in the same state this time. Mandella was not racist. He was fighting for the rights of the majority people. As was evident when he came to power not like there neighbour.

 

The Bnp are not freedom fighters, they aim to take peoples freedoms away.

 

But i would not worry even if every adult voted for them on Shetland it would have little to no impact on who got in.

 

Barring them and treating them as diffrent to other political parties is also rather shortsighted. If you treat them as anyother party you take away there excuse that they are the repressed representives of the majority. %This rule would have to apply to all wacko groups.

This legal obligation was re-affirmed in 1939 with the Jugenddienstpflicht and HJ membership was required even when it was opposed by the member's parents. Later war figures are difficult to calculate, since massive conscription efforts and a general call-up of boys as young as ten years old meant that virtually every young male in Germany was, in some way, connected to the HJ. I have no idea if he wanted to be a member or not. But everyone of us makes mistakes him included. Even if the pope was a rabid antisemite what has this to do with the BNP. If for one moment the jewish war crime groups thought he had anything to answer they would have been making it very clear.

As the Allied front drew closer to his post in 1945, he deserted back to his family's home in Traunstein after his unit had ceased to exist, just as American troops established their headquarters in the Ratzinger household. As a German soldier, he was put in a POW camp, but was released a few months later at the end of the war in the summer of 1945. He reentered the seminary, along with his brother Georg, in November of that year.

Many Germans managed to avoid membership of the hitler youth. And it was only after the war was over that being a member of the nazi party became at odds with being a catholic.

I can't understand how you can hold hitler youth membership against him. It was mandatory and very few managed to avoid it. Unless you are saying that all germans at that time were inherently bad then it shouldn't be a point of criticism.
