This is quite quite short notice but the network our server sits on is required to go down for upgrades tonight!

 

A window time we've been given is between 23:00 for 2 hours for a duration of less than 45 minutes. This is due to an immediate requirement to upgrade software on the router supplying traffic to Shetlinks server.

 

This is quite frankly in everybodies best interest .. really it is! So if you have connections issues around this time - this is the reason .. :( boo

From the initial post we've been further advised that an all-clear notification to all clients regarding recent network disturbances, outages, interruptions to service and emergency maintenance experienced since midday, Thursday 24th September has been provided.

 

Fundamentally, the Cisco router equipment at the core of our services providing access to our server from the wider network did not respond as per specification nor documentation of the upgrade. Cisco have been working directly to solve issues and a third solution provided at approximately Friday 01:40hrs BST has been effective.

 

Please accept full apologies in regards to this incident.
