steno Posted October 10, 2009 Report Share Posted October 10, 2009 Re: The best option would be a Lib-Lab pack; just cast your minds back to the late 70's, or more recently the Liberals (always desperate for a sniff of power) in cahoots with Labour at Holyrood. Labour are a spent force, and like the tory party in 1997, are set to spend at least a couple of terms in opposition. As for the Liberal's; don't make me laugh. Totally incapable of making and standing by a decision. A prime example being refusing to back the Scottish Goevernments' manifesto pledge to hold a referendum. Tavish says 'no'; his boss Nick Clegg says 'mmm....no', then at his party conference Nick changes to 'yes'. Tavish repeats 'no', yet at the up-coming Scottish Liberal Democrats conference, they will debate whether to oppose or support an independence referendum. The only decision Tavish has made, and stood by; is his refusal to return any profits from his second home to the tax payer following his departure from politics.
