Trout81
Yet another brilliant series on our telly from the makers of Lost. I think it's brilliant but i cant stop thinking what's it all about. concidering that lost is still not finshed i i've started getting in my head it's connected, Why? well i've noticed only a couple of things that makes me think this 1: A few of the characters are from lost but different names,2: The massive bill board on the side of a building with Oceanic on it3: The music is the same ( thats just a small one i know but it's still one)4: In lost they're caught in a time loop (it's all about time) and in Flash forward they THINK they have seen into the future..... just something to get your head round, i think it's a good theory and what is happening to the people who saw a future.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predestination_paradox
elrober
jack set off the bomb in lost on april 29th everyone fell unconscious in flash forward on april 29th.. darma initives main goal was to adjust time using electromagnets from the island but ive done alot of searching on google an checking other forums and most people think its just a spoiler from the makers for a laugh i think theyll give little bits of conections like that for viewers to notice for fun, i dont think itll come to anything flashforward is brilliant tho, liking it much more then lost
trout
Still to watch. Seen 20 minutes of the second episode but stopped so I could watch it from the beginning. Everybody at work is loving it though ... so I'd like to at least garner my own opinion.

JohanofNess
All the lost stuff is a red herring to keep people guessing. I've heard theories ranging from we passed through a temporal anomaly to Capt Kirk tried to sling shot round the sun to go back in time with some whales again and inadvertantly caused this. The latter theory was from someone who was terribly, terribly drunk.
Spinner72
How do we know present time isn't 29th April and they all just got sent back... Fun series so far, but just as with Lost, we may never really know what happened or understand why, only one man does ; http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/2134/walterc.jpg
dtothet
I don't get why there needs to be theories for this show. So far it's playing out almost like 24, with regular good guys and bad guys, and it seems like terrorists planned it all. For some reason. The only questions I have are 1. Why would terrorists think this is a good idea. Sure it kills loads of people, but noones claimed for doing it so they don't really get much benefit. 2. Are the flashforwards destined to happen or is anyone going to be able to change them? This will make a big difference to the whole feel of the show 3. How will they do a second season? Same again? nederlander
Don't think it has anything to do with terrorists, my reckoning is that it's a scientific experiment that has either gone wrong or has had an unexpected side effect! It will be interesting to see if anyone can change their future though, time will tell I suppose!

Spinner72
3. How will they do a second season? Same again? This is a big problem with the perception of TV shows in America. It especially came to light after the US version of Life on Mars. There was an outcry that all the loose ends had been tied up, with online petitions for a second season etc. Completely overlooking the fact that it was a complete story, with beginning, middle, and end. Flashforward may be just that. Or, since its a hit, they could end up scrambling for a way to extend the one season story into 2,3,4 or more seasons. Shame.. Edit - finally caught up with FF tonight. Glad to see it's moved away from the Lost/Fringe area now we know who was resposible, if not a lot more! Great image closing the latest episode, shame about the continuity between shots though
