Longdog
Hi My brother is into fell running, adventure racing and triathlons. The more off road and muddy the better Usually doe the OMG and 70 wild miles and the like. He was wondering if there are any races up on Shetland or fell running clubs that he could plan into a trip up to visit us? Any contacts or details of events for me to pass on to him would be great. Evil Inky
I don't think any organised fell-running goes on apart from the Hill Race at the Cunningsburgh Show. There is, however, an active triathlon club: http://www.shetlandtriathlonclub.co.uk Next event is a duathlon ( 2.1 mile run; 13.5 mile cycle; 2.1 mile run ) on 13th December. Longdog
Cheers I've passed that link and info about the show onto my brother. He likes the long, rough, muddy stuff as it puts the road runners off their stride and makes up for him not having quite the road speed they have He does do the usual triathlons with a local club though, he has to keep doing something to get his fix Kev
