Indeed JAS, but as usual come election time folk will continue to sit on their moaning backsides waiting and speculating as to who (other than them of course) might stand whilst reciting the same old tosh that they would consider doing so if it wasn’t for.... And post election, give it a few months and the whingeing will start all over again, just like it always does.

I'm pretty sure the folks who moan, whether on Shetlink or anywhere else, turn out and vote. It's the ones who aren't interested or could not care less who don't vote.

... our jewel boxed Isles.

What does this mean? Surely not CD cases. I fail to understand the concept.

This goes back quite some time and is still present today.

Most maps of the UK have Shetland in a wee box so as to save on an extra page, sometimes Fair Isles has the same thing done to it at the same time.

Now, if you look in the Silver shop, at a necklass or brooch of the isles, in a presentation box...

Enough diversity.....

which is the vast majority Jeemie, same as the vast majority are no really aa that fussed about Judane , todays newspapers is da morns firelighters kinda thing

The majority of people eligible to vote at the last council election did vote.

If Cllr Miller (who I agree is innocent until proven guilty) is found to have been involved in an attempt to defraud the SDT. I find it hard believe that the vast majority of the Shetland public would not be fussed about this.

I know for a fact that there workers had to take them to court for redundancy pay when Judane closed down so i dont think they are exactly squeaky clean when it comes to handing over cash!!!!

Only partly true and wrong enough to need an answer.

There are rules and regulations covering redundancy payments.

Some ex employees would not wait until the company had raised sufficient money to pay everybody redundancy and threatened court action thereby jumping the queue for any money that was available.

All were eventually paid in full.

The second part of your post is just an opinion, unnecessary, and typical of the spite and bile that seems to pervade this thread.

^^

There are now many Shetlink posters who are getting a tad tired of the constant 'bitchin posts' of those who want only to stir trouble.

The law will take care of those who do wrong, not the Shetlinkers who think they are clever by posting 'bitchin posts'.

Grow up, you 'bitchin' little cretins, get a life.

Or if you can't manage that, just wait until you make a mistake, then see how much you enjoy it when Shetlink makes you their 'hate campaign' for today.

First the Millers get a fancy lawyer to silence the press and Cllr Robinson then you try to stop people from discussing this on a public forum, all you are doing is making the whole thing more suspicious.

All I'm doing is feeling sad for Shetland that all the Island can do now is bitch, complain, and grumble.

Discuss it by all means, but after weeks of the same kind of bitchin, it's no longer discussion, just sad.

And, if you want to know where I'm coming from on this. I am absolutely not a fan of the people being discussed on this thread, because I absolutely hate one of them.

But, I for one, am not willing to allow my personal feelings towards a single person, to colour my opinion on a matter which should be dealt with through the law, and certainly not through the idiotic ramblings of Shetlinkers.

....the attempt to stop freedom of speech didn't work....(what a surprise)....the court has decided to deny Mrs Miller's request to silence the local press and Councillor Gary Robinson. Mrs Miller needs to provide a clear and concise answers NOW.

I await with great interest, for her or her supporters response !!
