The point is that the non-existent 'scandal' only existed in the minds of people who want to stir up trouble and audited accounts are all the 'evidence' that was needed to prove to the people who really mattered that things were above board. chris hodge did employ quite a lot of people at one point. if he had been supported instead of what was done to him he could still be employing them. who knows his stock may have improved over time too. The support that Chris needed most was from the community and he didn't get it. The problems he got from the SIC and various trade associations were mostly a side show but lack of cash flow is what did the damage. the loans themselves are questions for the trust. Exactly, and we have to trust them. I'm no great supporter of the SIC and it's satelites but there are a lot of businesses on the Island who have benefitted from public money and are (at the moment) quite succesful. Many of us are not privy to the facts (as they have not all emerged) and hence your post appeared to be aimed at those, if not all of us on Shetlink unless, of course, you are one the parties involved who does know the entire situation. Here here Colin. Now that the facts is known the situation is not nearly as bad as first assumed. Seems like miniscule when compared with previous fishy related investments. Maybe now serial cooncil-bashers like Gostrider will take a rest. Or at least we can hope. What's your angle though, why are you so keen to see Caroline Miller hung out to dry, the vast majority of your posts relate to the Judane fiasco and if anyone thinks contrary to yourself you spit the metaphorical dummy and attack them with ad hominem rarely drifting near the territory of the countering opinion, what you said to ladyfootballer was an attack on them and nothing they said. Taking your posts on the subject seriously is becoming increasingly difficult the more it looks like your just carrying out a very personal attack.
