Voice of the Mysterons
Sad to here the Malakoff have folded. Where have all the players gone? Is this partly due to the emergence of 3 'New' teams? Does this mean that the Works League will now not have to split half way through the season or will both Cups be contested by all remaining teams now? Kevin
The final meeting before the season starts is tonight so we'll find out exactly who's going to be in the league and confirm the league setup. More than 4 Malakoff players had left, but out of the 4 I know about only 1 had joined a new team.
Kevin
The Shetland works league Football Association grew to 13 teams lastnight with Ness United Fc entering a third team into the competition and Real Cosmos and a team started by Aaron Sjoberg though I didn't catch what they were called. The league will split into two at the halfway point with 7 teams in the top section and 6 in the bottom section, the cup competitions will also be split with one cup each being contested by the upper and lower groups. An update on this after the meeting tonight - The league will consist of 12 teams after the demise of Malakoff, it will still split after teams have played each other once. The main change at this meeting is that the cup competitions will return to normal.
