ReawickLass
how the daughter is ment to get back from the anderson i don't know. hope they can board stranded kids. assuming the roads out at westerskeld aren't too much worse than Reawick I would imagine she got back ok... came out of lerwick by car at the back of four and the roads aren't great but are ok to drive with a bit of time and caution. soljey
any news on school closures tomorrow?(tuesday) there's been a lot of snow here since it got dark. (wastside) Nope. Need to wait for BBC Radio Scotland tomorrow at 6.55 and 7.25 (92.7m) or SIBC at 7.00, 7.30, 8.00 (96.2m). The Shetland News website should also have it. CTGoode10
You can also sometimes catch the school closures announcement at 6:30am some mornings depending on how quickly the Head of Schools make up their minds. If the snow has been really bad, you usually hear something by 6:30am but if its not been snowing so much overnight, then they will only announce it when the news comes on at 7:00am onwards.
