Thistle / Delting

He and (**moderator edit**) are being summoned before the S.F.A to answer these charges, and on the basis of what he told his so called friends at his squad doo on Friday 21st April, what I stated is true based on what he said himself.

As far as I'm aware (not a committe member but ear is on the ground) nobody has been summoned by anyone. As I have said, nothing will be done unless the player contacts the Shetland Football Asociation and asks them to intervene, as they have a form from him with Thistle as his club - end of!

I'm in agreement with wheesht on the fact that as far as i can gather no committee meeting has been called. As i understand the situation to be, a normally monthly meeting will be held on thursday night where all matters relating to senior football in football will be discussed.

All one can hope is that at this meeting all is considered is the issue in hand. That is to say that a said player signed two signing on forms one for Thistle, one for Delting and now it would appear he wishes to be released from the form he signed for Thistle.

All the gossip mongering that's going on in this thread is becoming scandalous. To sort one or two things out:

1. There is has been no special meetings organised in relation to this matter;

2. Any comments regarding employment matters are just idle gossip.

The crux of this problem is:

1. Player signed for Thistle;

2. Player now wishes to play for Delting;

3. Player cannot sign for Delting until Thistle agree to cancel players registration.

No offence has occurred as yet, if Thistle decide not to cancel registration in hope of reconciling differences with player then that is their perogative. Any registration form that Delting may or may not hold for the player is invalid. Neither club has committed any offence therefore no punishments can be handed out. End of matter.

Some of the scandalous comments ragarding certain individuals on this thread are disgraceful. Stick to the facts please.

Reason, I've been trying to put those facts (bar one where you’re wrong) across for a wee while now and there is no doubt that those administering this site should be pulling some of these scandalous points from air!

Back to the only point I disagree with you on Mr Reason, that the player has actually committed an offence under the SFA rules by signing and submitting two forms for different clubs, if it comes to that then I guess they (the SFA) will deal with that.

As far as your views on the issue go DB i think a closer inspection of the signing on forms will reveal to you a clause allowing one transfer a season should both clubs agree.

That's just not true.

The form contains no clauses at all and does not mention any transfer.

Under the RULES of the SFA a player can make one move but the club holding his first form have to release him before he can sign for another.

But don't let the facts ruin your point!

Thanks for confirming that Wheest. It's over 10 years since I was involved in Senior football. The form, as I remember it was/is a fairly simple document. The constitution and general rules are where I would expect to find information such as signing on and transfers. No really sure what Get a Winner was on aboot yunder :?:

I may well be wrong on that point. I'm not in possession of a current SFA constitution and i haven't had the chance to speak to the individuals in person. If indeed the Delting registration form has been lodged with the SFA then they probably will become involved in this matter, if it hasn't been lodged then this matter is between the player and Thistle FC.

Hopefully people will begin to comment a bit more responsibly on this matter.

Sorry Wheesht, but as none of the site administrators or moderators understand the finer points of Shetland football, we're not really in a position to comment. All we can do is keep an eye on the thread and try to make sure nothing personal, offensive or libelous is being said

Well Bryan surely the points re jobs, money, names, and allegations of some kind of under hand dealings etcetera are fairly obvious, as are cheap shots?

We have been removing names, where unsubstantiated allegations are being made.

We're trying to keep this as open as we can Wheesht.

But a few posts as so obvious that the blocking of a name does nothing. Just an opinion.

I wish everybody would just give this lad a break as he only wants to play football with his north friends. He obviously could not hack it with the the big tough Lerwick team so now being be a glory hunter he heads north for a game. I hear this is now his third or fourth team in Shetland football and he only has one or two to go in the A league. Next year we could be talking about him playing for Spurs, sorry my mistake even Douglas Bader would not play for them.
