Longdog
It was so nice today in Shetland that me and my little 'un caught the sun a bit on our faces, wasn't expecting that
GypsyScy
Same as that! ^^ And it started out so wet and horrible, thought me and the wee ones would be stuck in again and ended up outside most of the day!!
Longdog
Yeh busy day, play group, sandside park, back garden, mossbank park and mossbank beach. So as well as a bit red also shattered Don't feel so bad about yet another helping of fish and chips for tea

Guest Anonymous
And, on the something good subject.Reading Longdog's blog. That does it for me. Nice one. This is one of the important points about incomers to Shetland. They see the islands from a completely different perspective, with fresh eyes, and see things that locals never think of looking at.I only realised this when I brought Oddrun to Shetland for the first time. We visited places which I would never have visited as a local, but I could get away with it as a 'tourist guide' The Quendale Mill, Crofthouse Museum, etc., they're all brilliant attractions, but how many locals have bothered to visit what they think of as 'only for tourists'.And on the subject of attractions, and I wonder how many Shetlanders have visited it, the Scalloway Museum. We spent about twice as long in there as we did in the new 'Lerwick' museum. So, there, I've mentioned a few places which I think are worth a visit. And I eagerly await Longdog's blog report when he gets round to visiting them.
Fifi
In a similar vein, another good one by a newcomer is Abby's Shetland My Love blog - http://shetlandmylove.blogspot.com/. Includes lots of good and helpful information. Again, it's seeing Shetland through fresh eyes.
Guest Anonymous
Âbsolutely agree Fifi, and thanks for that link. Here's a classic blog post from today about Collafirth Hill:http://kozetland1.blogspot.com/Climbed that mast once, and that was enough, but it's a landscape not many Shetlanders have seen. kozetland1
Many thanks for the positive comments I've been here a while - 26 years now (i came here very young) & have bee on every inhabited island several times & quite a few uninhabited ones but am still finding new things. Decided to start blogging this year after getting a new camera & the will to use it.......
ReawickLass
the schools are shut for the easter holidays!.... that's got to be a good thing!
Ghostrider
^^ I disagree! (Although my adult self would get in to one helluva fight with my 5 yr old to 16 yr old self for daring to say such a thing).
ReawickLass
haha... having youth & good eyesight on my side i could read that small print! so surely your 5 - 16yr old self can empathise with us young 'uns looking forward to few weeks off before the horrors of exam time??? unlinkedstudent
Me thinks Ghostrider secretly wants to keep all the Easter eggs for himself.

Good to see what people are up to. I'm not on Twitter BTW, I have a hard enough time trying to keep myself off the PC on various forums as it is without any other 'reasons' to sit here Kev
