Windwalker
What could be better than Shetland in a beautiful day, been for a long walk with the dog, good for him and me, the scenery was brill and we stopped several times to watch seals and an otter. We are so lucky to live in a place like Shetland and often don't appreciate what we have.
Davie P
Windwalker, you're so right! I sometimes have to remind myself about how lucky we are. I've been for a wander around the banks today and I'm delighted to get back home with some lovely food, good company and a dram. Perfect! Roll on Sunday! mogling
Radio Shetland news tonight -Did I hear right that Sound Service has been taken over by the same folk that now have Alex Morrisons?I missed their names - who is it? I was delighted to hear they are planning to stock as much local produce as possible. The Garage shop has always been great for getting stuff you don't see anywhere else,a lot of Shetland and Orkney oatcakes, bakers biscuits etc.their stationery and cards selection was always very good. Best wishes and Good Luck to the new owners!
Urabug
We can assume from this that Tesco did not want to get its Shetland branch involved in the fuel market. Of course any interest from them may have been "blocked" .

fionajohn
as far as i know tesco wasn't interested as the garage is too small it would need something the size of leasks could you imagine the size of queues especially if tesco had a 5p off promotion Urabug
Urabug
I was kinda hinting that the garage owners might not have wished to sell to Tesco anyway. As you say fionajohn it would be far to small.
