Good thing they didna geen doon da broo or it would have been a worse mess. Its a wonder 4040 was repaired, the front axle is torn out and the cab would seem to be beyond salvage. Still, she'd have been no more than about 4 year old at the time, so the insurance man would have gone with what the numbers said. What was the other truck? And now that I come to think about it, the single axle one that Brindister had, APS 500E was a Dodge too, not a Ford. The Dodge and Ford cabs of that era both had the same general shape, only the detail was different.
