Guest Anonymous
I managed to upload an avatar, but not the one I wanted. Which is my own beautiful image: http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c322/robbiework/AuldRasmie-1.jpg For some reason I couldn't get paint or photobucket to resize it properly. Any suggestions???? JAStewart
I tried it too AR and had no luck. If Shetlink would allow for one to link to an off-site location it could work . the smallest I could get yours and still make it avatarable was 18.6kbps. Guest Anonymous
Try this one:- http://www.pooks.plus.com/stuff/auldrasmie.gif Good try Pooks, but the size is still wrong. It's 90x100 pixels so that exceeds the 96 pixel limit and isn't accepted. I tried a simple crop using paint but although it physically altered the image to be smaller vertically, it was still rejected as being 100 pixel high. Confusing.. I've recently downloaded Corel, but haven't learned how to drive it yet, maybe that will give me the answers.Anyway, many thanks for your help Pooks, any other suggestions greatly appreciated. Pooks
Apologies, never realised it was the pixel size rather than file size that was the problem. Fifis will probably work.

JustMe
Why do you guys make life so hard. The free and excellent Irfan View will resize a picture in seconds and it is easy to select a maximum dimension of 96 pixels.

Nigel Bridgman-Elliot
I googled with: picture resizer And went for out of the choices at random this one, which appears to work in an uncomplicated manner for the task. http://webresizer.com/resizer
