^^Tosh! I've been to many (and much larger) events on the mainland - that's why I suggested the filling up of 'feeder' trays! Shetlanders can queue with the best of them!

You were obviously very lucky in the times you went to the bar, knew somebody working on it or were one of the many folk that pushed their way to the front!!

Firstly, well done to the organisers for a fantastic event!

Tins might have helped, but pints have a bigger profit margin and that is what would counted when you've got such high costs to cover.

On top of that you had a different breed of audience at the darts as I hear that nearly 3 times more booze was drunk than would normally have been expected at an event that size. You could certainly tell that by the time the final came on stage as the place was jumping.

In fact, having been to the Premier League Darts in Aberdeen for the last 3 years, it's safe to say that Clickimin made that look tame!

It's just a pity there were empty seats up the back as that will probably knock the event from every coming back to Shetland again. That's a real shame because professional darts is great entertainment these days.

Those of you that are moaning about the bar,etc at Clickimin over the weekend really do have to take a look at the bigger picture. This was the first time anything the sheer size of the Darts has been at Clickimin. No one including staff really knew what to expect from the day. Yes Clickimin has hosted many good and big nights for the Folk Festival but thats been going on for years so they know what to expect. This however was a learning curve for those who were involved, and Im sure that if they come back up next year all the little bits and pieces that were missed this time around will be taken care of next time round. As for cueing, DONT BE REDICULOUS!!! If you go anywhere across the country to a big sporting or music event you'll find you have to cue for ages!!! I went to watch Rangers v Hamilton a few years ago and missed 2 goals at the start of the second half because I was cueing for a bloody pie!!!

Big congratulations to all who was involved with the organisation of the Darts weekend, credit must go to the Clickimin for organising an event with such major stars on the Darts circuit. Well Done and hopefully we'll see them plus Barney next year!!!

Last year was a first in terms of holding this type of event and we have reviewed all comments received and we're very confident we can resolve the issues brought up. We're going to work hard to ensure the organising is up to the standard of the line up of players and hope that everyone can have a great day out!

Cheers :)

Had a Fantastic time last year - looking forward to it this year - what we have to remember is that if you wanted to see these dart players (which are of the highest standard in the world) - you would usually need to go south and when you take into consideration - travel - accomodation and time off work - it is brilliant to think for the price of a ticket you can see them at home - much nearer than you would ever manage to see them in a huge arena, which sell to thousands - I am sure it must be a logistical nightmare to gather them all together and set up for this event - sure Robert and his Staff have taken on board all the constructive comments and feel sure this year will be bigger and bettert than ever!!! Cant wait!
