Distortio
no. you are all wrong. the correct answer is: the thick of itthe day todaypeep show comments: shetlink could do much better if it would apply itself and stop daydreaming. this sloppy sub-standard work must not continue if shetlink wants to progress further in the coming years. sdanny
the big bang theory, friends and two and a half men are my favorite comedy shows on tv and they are surely something that i watch even though i have already finished the seasons i still have them on my computer in case i wanna watch a few episodes back. i love the humor as they never get old and always make me laugh even though the shows were already a while back. I.S
Fawlty Towers (timeless)Father Ted (genius, genius and pure genius)Blackadder, series 2 onwards (Brian Blessed was brilliant in series 1) If I could have another (pretty please?) it would be The Fast Show. I.S
Does the "Fawlty Towers" episode, with the old lady and the hearing aid, spring to the mind of anyone else, or is it just me?
Iknow
I think it's just you I.S living in the past, like most Shetlanders judging by the posts on this thread.

I.S
Sigh. More self-important Saturday night/Sunday morning chest-beating from our resident keyboard hero. Having a memory that extends past longer - for some here, certainly - than you have probably been alive does not make what they have to say either irrelevant, nor any less important or meaningful than your own view. Which we haven't heard, as yet, choosing instead to, yet again, hijack a thread to bash folk from Shetland for their perceived failings (in your eyes), in order to make yourself feel a little better about the person you see in the mirror, every morning. Probably the person that hasn't done quite as well with their life as they believe they deserve, or are owed. But it's probably the Shetlanders that have held you back. That jumped up clique of crofting/fishing peasants, every one of them more stupid and less deserving than you. But their "all boys together" parochial way of making sure they all get the best up here is what's to blame, not the fact that, in reality, you don't quite cut it. Is that it? Probably about right. The same self-absorbed little child mentality you find everywhere, that can't quite come to terms with the realities of the world you live in, so retreat into the childishness of your youth, where insults count as "clever". But, as I pointed out to you before, not everyone here is from Shetland. I'm certainly not. I choose to live here. And I happen to believe that these islands, and their inhabitants, have a lot to offer - present company excepted, at least for now. But when you've grown up a bit - emotionally or physically - feel free to chip back in. Now, run along and play with the other bairns, the grown-ups are talking. And that's "brightest". Oh, the irony.

Iknow
I like you - you make an effort I.S - have you heard of social engineering? You want to prove me wrong Give me another couple of paragraphs my friend!
I.S
But I don't. And you don't make me mad. Just bemused. As for social engineering, there are many different forms, and it is a very broad term to use. Wouldn't you agree? But if you wish to discuss that, you should consider a thread on it, as the nice people here are discussing their favourite TV comedies, and I can't think of many where that comes into it - with the notable exception of those from the very talented Kayvan Novak, of course.
