Cast Iron/Metal Gate

Does anyone know who could make one of these in Shetland, just a standard old fashoined gate but would have to be within keeping of the area, would be painted black on completion. Orkney also an option but would rather someone came along to look just to get it exactly right with measurements etc.

 

Any help appreciated.

Any decent welder could make you up a wrought iron gate, the cast iron bits however, are more difficult to source now, and probably a lot more expensive.

 

To get one from further afield though you just need a decent set of measurements. Once the gate is built any builder could fit it for you.

Thanks for info Njugle, wrought iron would be fine, will go on the hunt now for decent welder, anyone know anyone that would be happy to have a look at it can pm me.

Bruce is now retired although he might do the odd thing, not sure, plus his son is now also doing a bit of blacksmithing/toolmaking. 503 300.

you could try harry irvine AKA irvine fabrication and welding services. Hes done a few gates/fences around graveyards if its that style you are after.
