Our flights will still be Logan Air regardless of who Flybe shack up with so the prices (and tiny awful planes! >_>) will be with us for a while I fear.

It won't be much different than the previous arrangements, I suspect. It doesn't matter who they code share, the Sumburgh to [insert Destination Here] part of the journey is always going to be comparatively expensive, as long they are using small turboprops on the route.

one problem that i can see is that air france tend to keep plying you with drink and flybe tend to punt you of the plane if even the mearest whif of drink on your breath

But i think the main advantage is that you will be able to book your holiday leaving from shetland rather than having to go a day earlier because you may be held up , this way they will have to make sure you get to your final destination whatever the weather or circumstances

The first weekend when Flybe and BA code-shared was a disaster. We lost all our luggage between BA and Flybe flights. Never saw it again. Lost everything. Was told then that Flybe is a point-to-point airline.

If thats the case then we are really not goin to be any better off , personally id like to see fixed prices for air travel from shetland like 80 return and 60 pound for a single something along that prices , surely they would get more people using thier flights then , unless you book well in advance your unlikley to get a good price

This paragraph you have taken from flybe's website is saying nothing about codeshare flights...

All this is meaning is that say for example you are travelling on two flybe flights which are in two separate bookings. If the first flight was delayed, and you missed the second flybe flight, then they are NOT be responsible to rebook the second flight for you free of charge. This is only the case though when the two flights have been made in two separate bookings.

IF however you book both flights in the same booking (which can be easily done on flybe's website or through a travel agent) and there was a delay on the first flight meaning you missed the connection, then they are responsible to get you to the final destination and would rebook you on the next available flights to get you to the final destiantion.
