I would try Shetland Heatwise in the first instance and they would be able to do a survey for you and advise.
splodger
Have heard of them but also heard of problems with insulation causing damp in older houses so bit reticent to have it put in.
DamnSaxon
My place is "older" (though admittedly not in Shetland). The Council did loft insulation here a few years ago and TBH it made very little difference. Most of the heat escapes through the non-cavity walls and the single glazed windows (not to mention the wee winter breezes coming in round the aging window sashes). It would be worth getting a survey first, just to see what would be the most helpful thing(s) to spend the money on.
Guest Anonymous
Shetland heatwise did the insulation in my last house and made a damnable mess, and they did it in my current house before I bought it and also made a damnable mess so I would certainly not advise anyone to use their service.
