Frances144
Whereabouts? Just about every restaurant here is accommodating to children.
Medziotojas
I always think Islesburgh is a good place to take the children although it's more of a cafe than a restaurant. The food is reasonably priced, they have children's portions and they also have a play area.
carlossimon
We take our 4 children to the Raba Indian restaurant, they enjoy the omelette and chips etc.
Frances144
I found that my kids were interested in what we were eating at places like The Raba, Golden Coach, and loved the world's biggest crisps (popadums ). They then would try what we were having and discover the amazing tastes and flavours of international food. At 15 and 17, they eat anything. Girzie
We take our grandson to the Kveldsro where they have a childrens menu. Also Fort Cafe are good for child's portions but it does tend to be very busy all the time. Frankie's in Brae is great with Happy Meal and gift. Also used to go to the bistro at the Shetland Hotel which was very accommodating to children.
shetlandlady
Mid Brae Inn is amazing. They have a really big kids menu and they would still make you anything else you could think of if you just asked. They are so friendly and have plenty high chairs and dont mind if you let them out for a little play.
Shasel
Thanks for the suggestions. In the end we ended up at the Great Wall and the Gurkha Kitchen. Great Wall was a big hit. Staff were very firendly and food was good. Kids really enjoyed it. Gurkha Kitchen was an unexpectedly big hit. I had got them boring old european stuff (an omlete) but they decided they liked the look of the buffet and got stuck in. I now have two little curry fiends it appears. Cheers,
