JAStewart
First in the series of many requests from you fellow history buffs. Does anyone know when former Whalsay resident Colonel Dainty passed away? Have a look at this list: http://shetlopedia.com/Councillors_-_Missing Can you help to find the missing councillors? Any information is useful!
MuckleJoannie
Andrew W Williamson, who your list erroneously describes as being councillor for Unst (correctly Yell North and Fetlar as in the election results page) was the former Lerwick museum curator. shetlandpeat
It was a few pages in, started with rank that did not work, then tried born betweens, but it came up on plain frederick dainty, but a long shot, still work to do, but dates sorta fit and the name is not too common but mostly american, then searched relatives of and he came up 2nd page.. Graeme_Storey
Always worth asking the current Museum Curator, Ian Tait, who has an astonishing memory and may well have info which may fill in some gaps. Brian Smith, the Archivist, also has knowledge stored away in his capacious brain - very useful guy to ask as well!
JAStewart
Yeah Brian is involved in the project in a sort of all-knowing encyclopedia of Shetland, which is useful. Good advice on speaking to I Tait
