DizzyKipper
Listening to the wind right now, rattling the roof, I decided to check the weather. Normally, I check BBC, Fair Isle, and Met Office. The Met office has a new beta page. You can zoom in to Shetland and see the data from several stations. I have to say that this is more accurate it seems to me than the others, which aren't picking up the gusts that I have right now! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/pws/invent/weathermap/

DizzyKipper
9 sets of data for Shetland, has got to be better than assuming that everyone has the same weather as Lerwick If you click on the weather stations and click OK, you get even more info Note it is still in beta though. George.
Lerwick is in Shetland though. We often have to put up with the same weather as Scotland - or "The north" as it is often put, with no relevance to us at all!!!
JordanKZ
Wow. Loving the Google maps use. Should be even better once Google Maps 5 hits the website (faster loading, smoother scrolling and generally far more pleasant to use...) We often have to put up with the same weather as Scotland - or "The north" as it is often put, with no relevance to us at all!!! True indeed, though BBC Scotland does have Lerwick on its map with one symbol that covers all of us; which is why I like the new beta site, it's more specific. The wind gust info is especially handy. 35mph is one thing, 35mph with gust of 75mph is quite another!!
