So, you are either allowed to drink before midnight, but not after, or not allowed to until 12? Bizarre.

The actual wording of the byelaw states that:

(a) on 31 December, from 6pm until the end of that day;

( on 1 January, until 6am;

(d) on the Wednesday following the last Tuesday of January.

Well it never fails to amaze me how many so called village idiots get in to management positions in our council

Precisely. Idiots no no geographical boundries & can be found in all occupations. Often it can be an unwritten requirement of the job it seems..?

I apologise if I ruffled any feathers by posting on this thread. I thought if a thread was to be stopped it would be in the hands of the administrators & they would lock it, preventing any more posts if they thought it was neccessary.
