If the router is stopping working then there is a good chance that either the router or your ADSL filters are at fault. I would try changing the filter first to make sure that isn't the problem (assuming you are using one).

(Edit --> Have a look at the Internet Problems thread. Looks like it could be a known fault)

I'm just wondering if there is many folk using the post office broadband? How do you find it? Just noticed the deal today and it's half of what I pay now for phone and broadband with BT. We do use the net a lot so it would be the most expensive option which is just over £26 compared to over £50 we end up paying BT.

Anyone have any experiences with it?

i've had the post office broadband for best part of a year now. gotta say it's pretty good generally. pay roughly £25 a month which includes unlimited internet, free calls at the evening and weekend i think and also some free international calls. best of all it includes line rental as well. so theres no other bill to BT and also it's way cheaper than anything else i found online.

theres cheaper packages from other companies for what i need, but not by much and they don't include line rental. when i've had to phone customer services, they've been pretty friendly and helpful as well.

The only difference between BT which I have now and The Post Office is that I get free international calls all week which is handy for phoning Ireland but I'm sure i can limit my free calls to the weekend if it means saving £25 a month!!!! ? I think i'll be phoning to make the change later on!

I've had PO broadband for some time. It started off at about 5 megs, which was fine, but has slowed right down to around 2 megs and sometimes below 1!

If you contact technical support, you get grave warnings of charges to be made if the problem turns out, in their opinion, to be your responsibility. Presumably, this is to put you off complaining.
