No - I am not one of those placing a classified ad wanting tickets nor selling any.

I was just wondering whether you would be able to hear the performers, even without seeing the concerts, just by being in town on the day that they are playing.

^^ Thats not a bad idea, last year when i went to home to see Leonard Cohen in concert he was playing an outside venue a country house estate right by the sea and a flotilla of boats done just that..set anchor in the bay for the night. Sound quality was good and they surely had a rare old time :)

I can remember, a good few years back when I lived in the London area, I paid good dosh to see a few Saturday night summer concerts at Kenwood house at Hampstead Heath. The idea was that you would bring a blanket and sit in the enclosed area and devour a picnic whilst listening to (usually) classical music played by musicians on a stage the other side of a small lake. It was very noticeable that there were often far more picnicking outside of the fenced area for free, than inside, even though you couldn't see the stage. They were clearly able to hear the music fine. In fact, even if you were a paying customer within the fenced area, you could only get a decent view of the musicians with a pair of binoculars.

I used to be a bit miffed that I was paying for the entertainment that they were getting for free but realised that the musicians would have been playing whichever side of the fence I was on.

I guess it is a similar situation with the two bands playing in Lerwick.
