piggywiggie
just a question but how far/when would you need to dig the rhubarb to get rid of it from your garden? I have some in my garden but I really dont want it there, we dont eat or like it and its not so good for the dogs!
paulb
get rid of the crown and you should be fine. as yorkshire seems to have had difficulty with there growing season this year. would it be possible to grow a decent crop up here. it seems to grow well in everyones gardens. paulb
the big lumpy thing in the ground. the yorkshire growers lift the crown and force it in a dark shed. its not a weed and is esay to get rid of. but offer it to folks as it would be a shame to waste it. Esther.R
If you dig them up and they are going spare we would take them happily - we lost a lot of our lovely big rhubarb patch to the late freeze last year.

Malcolm
We have a crown or two that we might be willing to cleave (ahem I mean see you cleave them) if anybody is interested. Just about the right time now we had a frost or two.
Malcolm
Too late this year to dig up the crowns. But we have a good crop of rhubarb this year again which needs picking before it goes off. PM me if you would like some for free, the only thing is that you would have to pick it yourself as I am on strict orders from the hospital to do as little as possibe after major surgery. We are in Ollaberry.
