mogling Posted May 24, 2011 Report Share Posted May 24, 2011 I put this in the 'Shetland News' section, because I got a letter today, and want to warn anyone else up here who gets one similar, or hears of a friend or relative, especially anyone vulnerable? A typed envelope with my correct name & address, and a real Spanish postage stamp came today. "International Lottery Board S.L. Award notification" Looks quite convincing... but a quick gooogle reveals that a lot of folk have been caught out- if anyone completes the Claim form or phones, faxes or e-mails, they then ask for money for insurance, or, they just use your bank details to steal from you. They send e-mails too telling you about a win, and also sometimes try phoning. I shall be handing the letter in to Trading Standards tomorrow.
