kittybee Posted July 27, 2011 Report Share Posted July 27, 2011 hiya, posting a sad story here...when leaving lerwick today, I saw a ginger and white cat that has been run over laid up on the verge opposite the power station.Just thought I would post this in case there is someone out there looking for their pet.... But its nice to hear that some folks have been good citizens and one - laid the cat up to be found and two - posted on here to alert the owner. I lost my kitty in Scalloway a few months back and spent days looking for her before a neighbour found her. She had been run over. Then a couple of weeks ago a guy in a green car came zooming down the street and killed our neighbours cat. He didn't even stop and left it right there in the middle of the road. Shocking. I know that it is not a legal requirement to stop if you hit a cat (it is for a dog) but it's sad there so many times a lack of common courtesy seems to rule. Mitch76 Posted July 27, 2011 Report Share Posted July 27, 2011 Yes I agree so nice to see that some ppl have a heart when it comes to a cat or dog been run over ,I do believe that if you are to hit a cat or dog that u at least stop and move the cat or dog off the road .
