The greatest place on Earth

I've been to many places, the Carribean, Africa, most of Europe and even the Maldives. And most of them are beautiful. The Maldives really is the typical paradise on Earth, Africa is dramatic, Stockport, England, well that's 'home' so that has a special place in my heart and so on. I like them all.

But I've always said that of all the places on Earth I've been (and there are many more I haven't, especially Canada), Scotland is my favourite. The scenery is awe inspiring. I "like" those above, but I "love" Scotland

Something about Shetland... it's not perfect, it has the same problems as down south, albeit to a lesser extent. The weather is bl**dy scary in winter... BUT one sunny warm, (almost) windless day, when the grass is sooo green and the skylarks are singing, and the wild flowers are everywhere, it all seems worth it.

As for Aberdeen centre, it's dirty and smelly - just my opinion :)

Civilisation! Cars! Shops! Seriously I spent a day there last year on my own and I sat on a bench in a corner drinking coke all day!

so you are scared of nearly everywhere then?

Some folk like some stuff, I am not fond of cities, they are not as bad and evil as some have made them out to be. The main reason of the lack of fondness is the reduction of life expectancy due to pollution.

Though the mix of races, creeds and mentalities make for an exciting place.

There is nothing wrong with such a mix, again, there are some who think it is our undoing, but who do you think picks some of your salad stuff.

The greatest place on Earth is where you are happiest.
